Hello Rockers
! As Coda will be back to the radio, we received some albuns
from Alternative Tentacles last november and from Rip Off in
2002 few before the "pause" of the program. We will
write about some cool realesed albuns in Brazil too. We

Entertainment! (Alternative Tentacles) 2003 I
Maybe this is the most pop band from Alternative Tentacles,
playing easy and clammy melodies, and some good riffs. There
is some ballads and a joke with a disco music in the track No
Protection. By and large it is a good pop-rock album and the
tracks Not Good Enough and Total Entertainment are the best.

Thrall - Lifer (Alternative
Tentacles) 2003 I
With hard riffs and marked bass-guitar, this band sometimes
sounds like Prong. The lyrics are against the corporations,
governments, lifestyle, police..., ideas that might be hidden,
fearful in United States after september 11th. This is a great
album with eminence from the tracks Path Of Initiation and Get

Party 1992-1993 (Rip Off) 2002 I
The Thing here is the rawk and dirty, basic simple and very
cool rock n'roll, with tracks around 2 minutes. This a
compilation of tracks originally launched in ep's and 7"
vinyl. This album is dedicated from who loves basic rock and
don't care a lot with technical and record quality. A
classical Garage Rock album.

Danko Jones - Born A
Lion (Highlight) 2003 - N
This 3 guys from Canada just wants to play Rock, with a
little swing, mixing blues, cool and hard guitar riffs, AC/DC
rock and a very good vocal, agressive in the point. This
brazillian edition just might be launched by a independent
label and come with 2 bonus tracks and 2 computer video clips.Eminence
for the tracks Play The Blues e Sound Of Love that is one of
the clips.

Las Cruces -
Ringmaster (Hellion) 2003 - N
This is one of few Stoner Rock albuns launched in Brazil
and is essential from really rockers. Origynally launched in
1998, there is ultra-hard-riffs, typical in Stoner bands,
agressive vocals and simple rhythm work. They alternate since
some slow passages as Doom Metal bands ass in the tracks
Cascades Of Phantoms and Doomed until fast and and strong
tracks almost trash metal as Killer Kane and Pigz (my favorite
track). It's a fucking great album.

Superjoint Ritual - A
Lethal Dose Of American Hatred (Century Media) 2003 - N
New Phil Anselmo band, that goes ttotally from the faster
and hardcore side that could be listened in some passages in
Pantera. The vocal (fortunatelly) is the same and whole album
rocks. Don't wait from technical and worked passages. The
thing here is hard and faster, the basic trash/speed metal,
sometimes being repetitive if you listen the whole album.
