New album from these supergroup that was better produced
than the first one (see CD-Collecton
- 04/09/02) but with the same (and sometimes with more)
power. Essential for lovers (as I am) of pure rock n' roll of
70's. This will stay in my list of 2002 favorites. The songs

Hellacopters - Cream
Of Crap vol. 1 (Universal) 2002 N
We were proudly presented to these fucking great
compilation o these that is the best rock n'roll band of now a
days. This is a compilation of 7 inches vinil albuns that were
launched just in Europe and USA since the beginning (there is
1995 song that was the first one). This is one essential album.
In my opinion, the Rolling Stones classic Gimmie Shelter got

Sight (Palm Pictures) 2002 I
Trash metal lives !!! In their new album produced by
ex-Metallica Jason Newsted, they got hard, strong and
powerfull, playing a vigorous rock n' roll and sometimes a
perfect 80's trash metal. Great album ! Trama records launched
here the previous album (see the CD-Collection
- 03/05/02) called Here Comes Death. We will wait for this
launch here. Eminence for the tracks Leave Me Alone and Second

Nashville Pussy - Say
Something Nasty (Artemis) 2002 I
They are getting so similar (talking about sound) with AC/DC
through the years. In their new album, the second with the new
bassist Tracy Almazan, I think they are getting old. The sound
is "slowly" than the others, but nothing bad and the
lyrics are the same, with names as Keep On Fucking and The
Bitch Just Kicked Me Out. Eminence for the tracks Say
Something Nasty and for the Circle Jerks cover Beat me

Orchestra - In Glorious Rock N' Roll (Ordinary Records) 2002 N
The brazillian garage rock heroes are back. They continuous
playing at the same way, 60's garage rock, blues and swing,
everything with a little more rock than in the first album.
You can fell it on the tracks Ninety Nine and Rock n' Roll
Medicine and in the covers Are you A Boy Or A Girl? from The
Barbarians and Tonight from MC5. Again, one of the best
brazillian albuns of the year.(DPJ)

Walverdes -
Anticontrole (Monstro Discos) 2002 N
Band from Rio Grande Do Sul that fornutately doesn't follow
the formula of the pop bands from there. They were so
influenced by american garage rock of Monomen and Mudhoney. In
my opinion this is (until now) the best brazillian album with
portuguese lyrics. Eminence for the tracks Anticontrole (Anticontrol)
and Regras (Rules). (DPJ) |
