THE
CHERRY VALENCE - THE CHERRY VALENCE (Estrus) I 2001
These band really rocks. Many cool
people elected this album the best of last year. This is their
first album with strong and dirty riffs, great drums work, in
the best 70's style. Imagine John Bonhan and Jimmy Page with
The Doors keybords plying the haviest songs of Led Zeppelin
with 21st century face. Maybe tou will ask if I'm joking. I'm
not joking, this is real this is possible. This is Cherry
Valence. Fantastic album. Now a days they are preparing the
second album to be launched in this year.(DPJ)

WATTS
- Watts (Estrus) I 1999
This album is (the only one of this
list) confirmed to be launched in this year in Brazil and the
band will take a tour here in may with no dates yet. Guitar
power rock n' roll full of distortion and Wah-Wah. Taking bits
and pieces from early white soul, seminal garage, 70's hard
rock and punk rock. This album were produced by the noise
master Jack Endino. Some members came from the excelent band
Mono Men. Eminence for the tracks The Kings Of Jackin' You

MAN
OR ASTROMAN? Destroy All Astroman! (Estrus) I 1994
Spacial surf music masters. Almost
all songs are instrumental, mixing Dick Dale few more strong,
with intergalatical insane sounds. In some places who plays
are the "clones" of the band members. They had two
tours in Brazil with many dates in many places. Entertainment
safe or your money back.

THE
MORTALS - Last Time Around (Estrus) I 1996
Pure guitar fuelled rock n'roll
with melody, raw and fury. This is a compilation of B-sides
and covers af this great band that show us all their
influences, since the garage masters The Gories until the
metal gods Motorhead. In this trully classical album, it's so
difficult to choose one or two songs, but the MC 5 cover
Looking At You and he Motorhead cover Stay Clean are
unbelievable.(DPJ) |

THE
QUADRAJETS - Pay the Deuce (Estrus) I 1998
These guys are in the place were
Metal meets with Punk. They play loud with three guitars,
scream a lot and don't care with the listener speakers and
ears. This album was produced by Tim Kerr (one of the most
important producer of underground world because he just
produces bands that he likes). It's impossible to listen to
this album with low volume. They had tour with Hellacopters (see
first CD-Collection) and recorded a new album last year.
Listen to Going Down and got a pleasure earache.(DPJ)

THE
INSOMNIACS - Wake-Up! (Estrus) I 1995
If you like 60's rock bands as
early Beatles and Monkees, this is your group. This disc is a
compilation of the first four works of them. Pop rock in your
veins, with sticky melody, simplicity, and a little pinch of
country (in some guitar passages) make this group one of the
best in pop rock music. I feel sorry for no one major label
discover this band. Eminence for the tracks I've Been Around
and My Favorite Story.
