Prepare your
hair, clothes and make tatoos, because Glam Rock live. |
Legends:
N - Nacional I - Importado |

Backyard Babies -
Total 13 (MVG) 1996 I
Take advantage that Backyard Babies will be here in Brazil
soon, i will describe this that is their second full lenght,
recorded after Dregen left Hellacopters and a brief tour with
Social Distortion in Germany. In this album they reach the
perfection mixing 80's hard rock and punk. The vocal is so
similar with Social Distortion in White Light... album. Whole
album sounds perfect. www.backyardbabies.com .(DPJ) |
Warrior Soul - Space
Age Playboys (Mayhen/Futurist) 1995 I
Their first album after be fired from Geffen major label,
this band leaded by Kory Clark decided to follow new way in
the hard rock, mixing elements as electronic effects and
strong riffs (that sounds like stoner rock riffs). They
stopped in 1997 and came back last year with a compilation and
a tour. In this album Rocket Engines and Rotten Soul are the
eminences. (DPJ) |

Murder City Devils -
(Sub Pop) 1998 I
Glam Rock in Sub Pop ? Yeah ! This album produced by Noise
Master Jack Endino show us the same formula of Backyard Babies,
mixing punk with glam rock (more Glam than punk). There is a
song in homage to Johnny Thunders. Eminence for the tracks I
Want a Lot (So Come On) and Johnny Thunders.(DPJ)

D Generation - No
Lunch (Sony) 1996 - I
This New York band was one of the followers of "pure"
hard-glam-hair-rock of 80's, mainly in visual. The sound is
more agressive, mixing punk simplicity and felling, but
nothing as Backyard Babies (of beggining) and Hardcore
Superstar. The band stopped in 1999. Eminence for the tracks
Degenerated and Scorch.(DPJ)

|
Hardcore Superstar -
Bad Sneakers and a Pina Colada (Koch) 2001 I
One more swedish rock band. They already oppened some
Motorhead shows. This is their first album and they play a
classical hard rock but with two feet in accelerator, highly
influenced by punk rock and hardcore. The vocalist Jocke Berg
sing a lot and scream a lot. Great. They follow the Backyard
Babies rock school. The whole album is ok, but Hey Now and
Hello, Goodbye are the best.

Demolition 23 -
Demolition 23 (Music For Nations) - 1994 I
The legendary Michael Monroe from Hanoi Rocks launched this
album after the success of Guns N'Roses Spaghetti Incident
album with Ain't Fun and some shows at The Grand Club in NY.
In the middle of grunge scene and in the beggining of
new-metal, he show how to play rock. Hard!
Eminence for the tracks Nothin's Alright and Same Shit
Different Day.
