They play a good punk rock at american's 70's style.
Influenced by Ramones, Dead Boys, Dictators. There is a
contribution from Forgotten Boys Arthur Franquini (ex- drummer)
and Gustavo Rivera (guitars and vocals) in the song Don't Go
Away composing and playing. The cd has a good graphic work and
were well produced. Eminence for the tracks Church of Fools

Beach Lizards - Brand
New Dialog (Polvo Discos) 1994 N
Punk band from Rio de Janeiro, highly influenced by
american bands as Nirvana and Bad Religion givin them a
particular style in punk rock / hardcore scene. They oppened
from Fugazi and Buzzcoks in their tour. In CD there are some
hidden tracks that are another versions of cd tracks. Eminence

Evil Motor - Atomic
Vacuum (Tamborete) 2001 N
Fantastic Rio de Janeiro Stoner Rock band. All stoner
cliché's are here as strong riffs, guitar trips, agressive
vocals... Talking about vocal, man, that vocal !!! Agressive,
screamed, the best brazillian vocal that I listened. The album
was very well produced. They don't have much gigs, but the
legend says that this is unbelievable. Essential for all
rockers !!

Gee Strings - Gee
Strings / Alternative Losers (13 records) 1996 N
Great German punk band with female vocals. They play a 70's
punk style as Stooges, Ramones, Dictators... This is one 2 in
1 cd. The first part (until the track XX) is from Gee Strings
album, cool, but common, sounds as a Ramones album. The second
part from Alternative Losers is better, more dirty than the
first, almost a garage punk album. Great initiative from

Mushroom River Band -
Simsalabim (Century Media) 2002 N
The best album of this year until now was made by these
fantastic Swedish Stoner Rock band. In this album (the second
full lenght, see about the first in www.codaonline.com.br/cdteca150602e.html,
everything is strong, fast and agressive, with no trips (common
in Stoner), short riffs, giving a new way to Stoner rock. No

White Stripes - White
Stripes (Sum) 2002 N
Before got famous, they launched these CD in 1999 by
underground label SFTRI and got respect in Underground world.
This album is dirty, strong, mixing blues and hard rock at the
best Led Zeppelin style (the drums have the same sound), with
great riffs. Without comparing, but if you like Led Zeppelin,
John Spencer Blues Explosion, buy this album, their best (in
