Hi Rockers.
In our new section, let's make something more spread, in some
different styles. |
Legends:
N - Nacional I - Importado |
|
Sahara Hotnights -
Jennie Bomb (Jetset) 2002 I
Great all girl punk rock n' roll band. The sound is from
Punk Rock Old School, bands from beggining of punk, when each
band has a particular sound, being so dificult to confuse. The
american edition of these album have some bonus tracks.
Eminence for the tracks ALright, Alright and No Big Deal. (DPJ) |
Zeke - Death Alley (Tee
Pee) 2001 I
This is hardcore, dude! Just it is enough to define Zeke
sound in tracks during 2 minutes. Dirty hardcore, with
screaming vocals and strong, insane and faster riffs. It
sounds like Misfits in velocity and agressivity, but with
vocals and themes so differents. If you like melodies, keep
far from Zeke. (DPJ) |
|
Diamond Dogs - As your
green turns brow (Feedback Boogie) 2001 I
The band that received form Black Crows the "mission"
of does a 70's rock in 21st century. Bad ? Of course not !
Different form Black Crows, Diamond Dogs is a independent
project, so they can mix hard songs as Good Bye Miss Jill,
instrumental rock power songs as Boggie For Tanja and end
night ballads as As Your Green Turns Brow. Highly recommended
for really good 70's rock fans. (DPJ)

The Saints - Eternally
Yours (Sire) 1978 I
Sensational australian band that in the midle of punk
explosion did a proto-punk that sounds as Detroit late 60
bands, with some details as brass instruments on the track
Know Your Product. The tracks Memories Are Made Of This and A
Minor Aversion are pure "Stooges ballads". The track
Ostralia has a surf-rock rythm and the rest is.... pure rock.
Thats it why many cool bands recorded some covers from The
Saints. (DPJ)

Sweet Savage - Killing
Time (Neat Metal) 1996 I
The band just got known after Metallica had recorded the
tittle track that was origynally launched as a 7" in
1986, but this record give us a band with a sound between 80's
hard rock as in Welcome To The Real World (Totally Van Halen)
and classic heavy metal, but sometimes flirting with trash
metal. A nice example of the tecnical on service of rock.
Eminence for the tracks Killing Time, Welcome To The Real
World and Eye Of The Storm. (DPJ)

Deep
Reduction - 2 (Get Hip) 2002 I
New band from ex-members from seminal
australian rock band Radio Birdman Deniz Tek and Rob Younger
that launched their second and better record until now. They
give us a powerfull rock n'roll highlly influenced by Detroit
rock bands from 60's and 70's exemplified in the tracks Two
Words and Black Tulip, behind some influencies of surf rock as
in the tracks Creosote and Maui Confidential. Essential for
rockers. (DPJ) |
